Digital Tradesperson provides financial support through wage and software subsidies for participants in the Digital Skills "Tradespeople Transitioning to VDC Roles" program stream.
PROGRAM RUNS UNTIL FEB 28, 2027
This course will prepare tradespeople who have existing experience in the skilled trades for a transition to Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) roles.
Participants will complete an asynchronous online training course (est 10-15 hours).
Subsidies up to $25,000 per participant are available to reimburse employers for wages paid and other expenses for a work experience placement after coursework is completed.

The Alberta Construction Association has partnered with industry stakeholders to research and develop post-credential training to meet the growing demand for digitally capable workers.
